LIFE LATELY

Welcome back! I'll be the first to admit that I have been quite lazy when it comes to maintaining this little blog of mine, but I am going to try and post more from now on. As most of you know, I'm moving in a few short months and I want to be able to share with you how this new chapter in my life is going since I won't be able to tell most of you in person (😢).




I shared my last "life update" in September, so I think it's time to do another. Here is what I have been up to the last few months, and what this summer holds for me:

• I graduated from McMaster University in December and will continue my education at Nipissing University with their Bachelor of Education degree in September. 
• Nipissing is in North Bay, and I am SO excited to be moving up North!! It's a bit daunting moving to a city where you don't know a soul, but I can't wait to live the outdoorsy lifestyle that I love, and to meet new friends! 
• This past week I was lucky enough to volunteer in Trish's music class, and it brought me so much joy! I am so grateful for Trish's willingness to let me volunteer and for her experience that I can watch and learn from! I can't wait to spend more time in the classroom. 
• I am saving up for a car and will (hopefully) be buying one in August. I'm lacking in knowledge when it comes to different makes/models, so help a girl out and let me know about reliable vehicles you have had or know about (please and thanks!!)
• I was hired at Dr.Oetker Pizza Factory, but I broke my wrist the week before I was suppose to start so no, I never ended up placing pineapple at Dr.Oetker. For those who have asked, I am back at CAMI building trucks and having the best time doing so! 
• Mykaela is getting married in just over a month (SAY WHAT!?) and our family is starting to celebrate this amazing season. My favourite part has been spending time with family we usually get to see only once a year. If you would like to support the wonderful couple at their Jack and Jill, message me for tickets!
• We celebrated grandma's 98th birthday!! What an amazing woman. Mykaela and I went to visit her one day a couple of weeks ago, and she insisted we have a pizza party. 👌
• I have been able to travel around Ontario & Quebec a lot over the last few months. I had the pleasure of introducing Nathan and Silas to Tobermory, playing with Meadowlands Band in Montreal, visiting Parc Omega and Ottawa with Meghan, and exploring the Bruce Peninsula with Paula. If you have any favourite spots to visit in Ontario, let me know! I am always up for a road trip. 

I know it's not a whole lot, but I just wanted to get this blog up and running again. I can't wait to see what adventures I will be posting about in the future!
