DANCIN', BEACHIN' & CLIMBIN'

This past weekend was one for the books. It was an adventure-filled weekend that had one special lady at the centre of it all: Miss (but not for long!) Rebekah Allen.

My friendship with Rebekah started only a handful of years ago, but it has become one of my most valued relationships. I had the pleasure of sharing a beautiful (😉) basement space with Rebekah, and now I have the pleasure of celebrating with her as she says "I do!"

To kick off her bachelorette weekend, a bunch of us threw her a shower, which ended in a night full of line dancing. The rest of the weekend was spent in the Wasaga Beach area. We lounged on the beach, got some sunburns, and cooked an impressive meal on the BBQ. We ate. and ate. and ate, and spent Sunday adventuring in the trees.

We went to Blue Mountain and did their Eco Adventure Tour, as well as their Scenic Caves Tour. The Eco Adventure has a 600m tree trekking route that is absolutely beautiful. Don't let the 600m length fool you - we were up in the trees for well over 45 minutes. The tour also includes walking over Southern Ontario's longest suspension footbridge, two ziplines, and a cave tour where you can lookout across the Georgian Bay. For you Amazing Race Canada fans, we met contestant Ryan (Ryan & Kenneth) at the end of our tour. Apparently he has worked there for a while! I definitely recommend checking out this tour if you're looking for something to do this summer. I will post a link to the website: http://www.sceniccaves.com/

Even though I got to cross some items off my bucket list, my favourite part of the weekend was spending time with friends I don't usually get to spend time with, and getting to know some pretty great ladies. Finding the fun and joy in the simple things, like singing to Spice Girls, or having a bonfire under a rainbow, helped make this weekend so special, and I can't wait to spend another weekend celebrating Rebekah and Chris! Four days!!
